Why it matters
What most dividend trackers do with your data

Most dividend trackers require you to create an account before you can enter a single holding. That account means your portfolio — the tickers you own, how many shares, and when you bought them — lives on their server. You're trusting a third-party company with a detailed map of your investment positions.

Some go further and ask to link your brokerage account directly, storing OAuth tokens that can read your full transaction history. If that company is breached, acquired, or shuts down, your data is at risk.

Elite Dividend Tracker stores everything locally on your device. The web app uses your browser's local storage. The iOS app stores data on-device. Nothing is sent to any external server for the purpose of storing your portfolio. You can use a full-featured dividend tracker without handing your investment data to anyone.

FAQ
Questions about tracking dividends without an account

Can I really track dividends without making an account?

Yes. Elite Dividend Tracker has no sign-up, no email collection, and no login screen. You open it, add a holding, and your portfolio is live. No account is created because none is needed — your data lives in your browser or on your iPhone.

What if I want to use EDT on multiple devices?

Because there's no server-side account, your portfolio doesn't sync automatically across devices. You can export a backup file from one device and import it on another. For most dividend investors who primarily track on one device, this isn't a concern.

Is the no-account version limited compared to the full app?

No — the free tier includes the dividend calendar, income totals, upcoming payouts, and Fidelity CSV import. Pro adds the full 12-month forecast chart, sector analytics, payout history tracking, and iOS push notifications. Neither tier requires an account.

Does the iOS app also work without an account?

Yes. The Elite Dividend Tracker iOS app on the App Store works without creating any account. RevenueCat handles the optional Pro in-app purchase through your Apple ID — but the tracker itself has no separate account system.
